Applications that stalled out of sight
So, I think the single largest pain point was people not completing their applications. I can say time, I can say other things, but people not completing their applications I think was our number one challenge because people would start an application, but we had no idea where they were with it. We had no visibility there. We were basically having to call and harass people to complete an application and but they would start it and it would die or they would start it and not know something and quit. And so, that loss really was affecting us and we were blind. We were blind to what was going
From the pusher to the helper
Oh, it's been a great help because when somebody starts an application, even if they just put in name, email, and I think maybe phone number or it's just a few questions there, we can already see that they're in the system. So we know, hey, that person stopped. We can see where they stopped. And we can just reach out with the phone call as, hey, I saw you started the application. I saw that maybe this hung you up. What can I do to help you? So instead of us going at, you need to finish the application, we can go at, hey, I see that you're hung up here. Here's what we do to overcome that. And then they'll generally pick it back up and finish. Or we can go ahead and disqualify them if they say, hey, no, I just, I'm not really interested. I just wanted to see if I could get an instant approval. Okay, great. Then we can, we can qualify a lot easier and it, we become the helper, not the pusher. And I think that's been really good for
Stuck deals: 60–70% → about 10%
I can do percentages. And so we really don't have stuck deals anymore. I mean, it went from probably 60 to 70% stuck to like 10%. So it's been a dramatic
One application that reads the customer
collect the application and collect the documents, and I felt like we had a great system, but what Kaaj did is that it allowed us to have one application, and that application adjusts for who they are, what type of entity they are, how long they've been in business, what they want, because we offer different services. We don't just do equipment, we do equipment, working capital, payroll, AR, project finance. So the application is now dynamic that it reads the customer, and it creates a custom experience for that customer, which I think makes a big deal. We work with everything from small businesses up to publicly traded companies, and it was great because it was a seamless experience for the
Pre-qualified in five minutes
But even when we just need bank statements, people upload them, they run credit automatically, which is something I would like to touch on. And then, my gosh, we have a profile ready to go, ready to submit, ready for us to pre-qualify in five minutes. Instead of two hours of processing, it's, or overnight, it's five
Friday 5:15pm → approval in 90 minutes
Sure, so we're not, we're a boutique lender, we're not volume, but it's allowed us to be able to have conversations now with vendors. I wasn't really able to do vendor business in the past because I didn't have a good system set up for it, but now we do. And I was able to talk with a vendor, a vehicle vendor in Houston, and he called me on a Friday at 5:15 and said, hey, can you do this vehicle for my client? And I knew, I was like, man, I want to show him what we can do. I sent the link, he was sitting there with the customer, they filled it out, she signed it, we were done. I was able to pre-qualify it in five minutes, tell him, hey, I think we can do this, send it in, because I went to my people on the West Coast because I had two more hours on the West Coast. So I went to the West Coast, got my approval, brought it back, and so I was able to do that within completely, complete app and submission and approval in my hand in an hour and a half on a Friday. And I wasn't able to do that before, and it's given us the ability to take on more
ROI from month one
I think money ROI, that's easy because when I can do more deals, it pays for itself. When I can present myself to vendors as a one-stop shop, it pays for itself. So the ROI hits for me from month one.
Efficiency, not fewer people
It has highly exceeded my expectations to push my business I was actually, somebody said, well, yeah, you can, you know, have less people. I'm not that person. I would rather leverage it for efficiency than use it to reduce human labor capital. I just want to make it better. I want to make it a better experience for my team, for the
